MR. HARRISON'S STOOL

Hearth Room with Harrison's Stool

Mr. Harrison will have to love Dinosaurs because his room, clothes, toys & books all have the same theme!  I decided to make him a little stool covered with Stampin' Up's ! Designer Series Fabric.  I made the Dinosaur Pattern starting with a Circle and then drawing the head, tail, & legs.  I wanted the spinal spikes to be 3 dimensional, so they were individually cut out, sewn inside out, flipped to the right side, ironed and placed UNDER the main body before adhering the body down with Fabric Adhesive and then zig-gagging it in place.  The stool hasn't left Grammy's House - yet!

COLORING DOWN THE LINE BLOG HOP

Stampin' Up! has a great tool- a COLOR COACH.  It is so resourceful to find color combos for your cards & projects.  Stumped no more, cuz the work is at your finger tips. This week we have a blog hop- you hop to each blog on the list- to see the designer's use of the Color Coach featuring Tangerine Tango.  Look at the 3 color combo choices-

Creative Combo- Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, & Old Olive
Sweet Set- Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, & Pacific Point
Dynamic Duo- Tangerine Tango & Cajun Craze

I used the Creative Combo for this card.

Stamp Sets- Country Side, Inspired by Nature, Fabulous Phrases
Card Stock- Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Water Color Paper
Designer Series Paper- First Edition Specialty
Ink-  Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Stazon Jet Black
And More- Black Satin Ribbon, Neutral Brads

TIP:  I used the blender pen to pick up the color ink directly off the ink pad and colored in the outlined stamp to give this the watercolored look.

My 2nd Card is a bit more whimsical and uses Stampin' UPs! Punches and Raining Flower's Stamp Set. While closed it looks like a sweet pot of flowers, but opened! wow! a whole bouquet of vibrant flowers!

Opened Up!

TAKE A SIP WHEEL

Our Stampin' Around Wheels are adorable to add to any card.  You can use them for a background paper or a focal point.  Take a Sip is one of many wheels available.  We also have Jumbo Wheels and Builder Wheels. Some of my wheels, I remove from the spindal and make into a flat stamp by adding Clear Mount Cling Foam.  Clear Mount Cling Foam will also convert your wood mounted stamps to use with our Clear Blocks

Tip:  Color in your coffee cups with a Stampin' Marker. I used Soft Suede.

MEDALLION COASTER TILE OR TRIVET SET

Medallion Stamp- Retiring May 31, 2012

I am going to miss this beautiful stamp!  It will be retiring the end of May. That being said, there are some fabulous stamps that will look great on my next set of coasters!  We made one of these last Friday at May's Card Class as 3D project.  They would make great coasters or trivets .

Stamp Set- Medallion
Ink- Stazon Jet Black
And More- 4" x 4" Natural Tile Square, felt self sticking circles (keep from scratching the surface)

TIP- Wipe each tile with a paper towel to remove any dust, I then rewipe with a swiffer cloth.  Bake 350* for 20-30 mins (depending on how hot your oven is) to set ink.

MAY CARD CLASS - RAINING FLOWERS

This Cheerio card was made using the 2-step Stampin' Set- Raining Flowers. Tomorrow we will be 2-steppin' during the Monthly Card Class. I've opted to leave off a sentiment so each class attendee can add their own when they need a card to send.
